Minister for Emergency Management, Robert McClelland, today announced that financial assistance will be made available to households affected by the severe storm and flood that hit Victoria from 27 to 28 February 2012.

The Commonwealth Minister for Emergency Management, Robert McClelland and Victorian Deputy Premier, Peter Ryan have today encouraged organisations to apply for the 2012-13, Victorian Natural Disaster Resilience Grants Scheme.

Heavy rain is expected across much of Central and South Eastern Australia, with some areas of heavy rain likely to produce flash flooding over the coming days.
